Hello!

 

First, I would like to thank you for your interest in this book. If you have been following the rest of "The AlphaBezzies" series, thank you for your continued interest in the series. Each book focuses on a particular letter of the alphabet and for this book, the main focus is on the letter “C". I put quite a few words starting with the letter "C", but I focused on the "hard C" sound in particular. Like all books in "The AlphaBezzies", "Cathy the Cat and the Carrots" can help children be able to recognize the appearance and sound of the letter “C” in words and sentences as well as help develop their independent reading skills. I always invite my readers to look around this book and see what other things may start with the letter the book is based on. Children can also think of more words starting with “C” that aren’t in the book. A couple of other challenges are introduced at the end of the book as well. One challenge involves introducing the "soft C" sound the letter "C" can make. It is good for children to know there is a difference and understand it. I hope you and the little ones enjoy "Cathy the Cat and the Carrots" as much as I did making it.
